关于in the end ; by the end of ; at the end of .三者的区别:

1.in the end 相当于at last;finally

e.g. You can understand these phrases in the end.

2. by the end of中的of 是介词，后面要有名词，是表示时间的名词。它的意思是在...之前。通常和完成时连用。

e.g. The questions will have been answered by the end of today.这些问题在今天结束前将被解答。 

You can use these three phrases correctly by the end of today。今天结束前你会运用这三个短语的。

3.at the end of同样的of 后面接名词，但可以不是表示时间的。表示在...的末尾。

e.g. You can find a cottage at the end of the road.

You are going to visit Tianjin at the end of the month.

主要注意在表示时间时by the end of 与at the end of。前者是在某时间前。如by the end of this year.今年前，那么实际上表示的时间范围是模糊的，而且时间段比较长。at the end of this year今年底，时间范围要小的多了。
