Following the quiet markets during Easter and Passover holidays, the main PolishedPrices index continued to show solid increases.

Weekly Index
The main PolishedPrices index opened up 1.5% from the previous week on Monday at 149.9 points. The overall index is currently 25.2% above its level of this time last year, and has gained 14.1% since the start of the year.
One carat Commercial were the best performers during the past week, gaining 6.2%. Half carat Mixed rose 1.2%. Both these categories showed the strongest price increase for this year to date.
However, 0.5 carats Commercial and 0.3 carats Fine settled
slightly down after the previous week's
surge.
