A Typical Day of Mine (Sep 8, 2009)

7:07 a.m. I was reluctant to wake up first. After a few minutes fighting against the sleepy eyes on my bed, I finally woke up and took a shower.

7:31 a.m. I quickly grabbed something to drink, which I think is a cup of chocolate milk, and rushed out to the bus station.

7:48 a.m. Bus was delayed a little bit due to dense fog. However, still good enough to arrive within 2 minutes after the schedule.

8:25 a.m. I listened to Michael Jackson’s songs while watching all the commuters on the bus. Most of them were as energetic as I was. After almost half an hour driving time, I got off the bus and headed off to MSU main library, where I almost spend at least five-hour per day.

8:30 a.m. After getting the computer started, I browsed some sports websites quickly and read sports sections from four different newspapers (USA Today, New York Times, Detroit Free Press and State News) to gain the latest sports information on some of my favorite teams and players. I got all those things done in half an hour and, then started watching TV drama: Friends, a show that I have seen at least three times from the very episode to the very last one. Well, what can I say about it. Five or six years ago, when I was having sexual fantasy, I loved Jennifer Anniston and loved her role in Friends. Then, every time I watched it, I could learn great English from it, especially American slangs. Now, my English is so awesome, I sometimes could figure out what will be the next line out of those six characters. The three actors are my favorites currently, though. Joey is good at flirting with hot chicks, Ross is knowledgeable, while Chandler is responsible and sucks in jokes.

10:30 a.m. I finished four episodes and started working.

11:30 a.m. I did some research on the Presidential Cup, a golf event which is held every two years among the best professional players. Then, I wrote down an article about it. Although I am not a good writer, I realized that the more articles I am creating, the better my article will be. So, I am just keeping working on it. If I do this for 20 years and my article cannot be published by major media or I don’t publish at least 2 books of mine, you can say “You suck, dude” to me. I do suck if so.

11:45 a.m. I went to MSU Union to meet up my one of my best female friends, a gorgeous nice lady, and had lunch with her. Every time we chat or hang out, we can say something to each other from the bottom of our hearts. We treat each other well and trust each other 100%.

1:04 p.m. returned to the library and prepared for the upcoming interview with potential future boss, a young energetic agent who already has a successful career in representing super models and celebrities. He is ambitious to expand his business to the NFL and now currently looking for someone who could become his crew members. Count me in, I am humble but confident to tell you that I am eligible for your job and won’t let you down.

2:02 p.m. went to IM circle and swam for a little more than half an hour. I have to keep in shape if I want to become a successful businessman. No clients want to see their agent look like a boozy or old-fashioned guy. A good figure enables me to dress properly and look like fresh and energetic.

3:05 p.m.  Took bus back to home and took a nap. No more naps for me after I get a stable job.

4:31 p.m. I had to prepare dinner for myself and eat them by 5:00 p.m. I need to work by 5:30 p.m., although the soccer game started by 6:30 p.m. This is the real world if I want to devote to the sports industry. You have to show up before everyone does and leave after everyone goes. Big money is not as that easy to get as people imagine. You have to work your tail off to comfort all patrons you will meet before, during and after the game day, 24/7 and maybe 365.

5:30 p.m. Ready to set up the game. My job is to sell tickets to parents and other fans

6:30 p.m. Game started. I cannot watch the game at all. I need to fulfill the responsibility to sell as many tickets as I can. A benefit by doing this is to learn some English when some people usually say some wired stuff to you.

8:30 p.m. Game was over. I was lucky enough to watch the second half because no one came after the first half. Just a high school game, though, pretty intense. American kids are much stronger and taller than their Chinese counterparts. I have to say that and hope I could change that within the next 50 years.

8:50 p.m. Finished off and allowed to go home.

9:11 p.m. Back home and made a call to mom. Have not seen her in person for two years. Feel better to talk to her through cell phone every time

11:36 p.m. I called it a day and went to bed. I don’t like staying up until 2 or 3 in the morning. Whenever I feel tired, I could easily go to bed and fall into sleep pretty soon. All my friends are jealous of that.
