Unit 1 Students’ life in 50 Years

Time goes by. Everything sure change. So does the students’ life. I think the students’ life in 50 years will be quite different from ours today .

They will not go to school to have any classes. They will stay at home to study on the computer. They will ask their teachers or classmates for help by chatting on the Internet. They won’t use paper, pens or exercise books. Of course, they will have more free time to play. For example, they will go to school play ball games.

However, I don’t like that kind of school life. I like to meet my teachers and classmates every day.

In the future, everything will be different. Of course, student’s life will change in 50 years, too.

At present, many students think they have too much homework to do every day. So they don’t have any free time to relax. It makes students and their parents frustrated. In 50 years , students will have less homework or even no homework . They will get home early and have enough time to communicate with their parents. It ‘s good for students to grow up better, isn’t it? Then they will sleep well and can have energy to study better. If students are ill , they needn’t worry about their lessons because they can also study at home on computers.

All in all , life in the future will be more and more interesting and relaxing, do you think so?

I’ve known your mother always talks too much to you and you are annoyed. In fact , there are many things you can do.

We had a discussion about the plan for English Week. There will be a lot of English activities during the week.

We will tell English stories and share them together on Monday. The English speech competition will be held on Tuesday. On Wednesday we can make English posters by ourselves. Most of us like singing ,so on Friday we will sing English songs . I think it’s a good chance for us to show our English. These activities can help us become more interested in it.

Unit 3

When the power was off at eight o’clock yesterday evening, Mr Zhang was watching a basketball match. And he really loved this match ,so he was very angry because of no power. And he listened to the radio instead later. At that time, Sally was playing the piano. So she had to stop to have a rest. As for Tom, he was doing some reading. He really enjoys reading every day. He had to go to bed soon after eight o’clock. What was MRS Wang doing then? Oh ,she was in the lift. Of course, you can imagine how scared she felt. She couldn’t get out until 11 o’clock. What an unlucky guy!

What were you doing at 8 o’clock yesterday evening?

When the power was off at eight o’clock yesterday evening, Mr Wang was watching a basketball match. Without power, he couldn’t go on watching, so he listened to the radio instead. As for Sally, while she was playing the piano, the power was off. Then she stopped to have a rest. How about Tom? Of, he was doing some reading. But then he couldn’t do anything , so he went to bed early. Mrs Wang was the most unlucky person. While she was in the lift , the power was off, she couldn’t get out.

This is Linda. Today I got my school report card. My English result was very disappointing. It was the worst of all my subjects. I want to learn English well, but don’t know how to learn it.

I have some problems in learning English. First , the textbook is too difficult for me. There are too many words and phrases in each unit. I can’t remember all of them. Then , I know how to say the word , but I forget how to write it. I am better at listening and speaking, but I am weak in reading. Sometimes , I can’t finish the homework. So I copy others’ homework. I really want to learn English well, so I want to ask you for some advice. Please tell me how to improve my English.

Hello ,everyone. My name is Tom. I have a lot of yo-yo collections. Do you want to know why I collect yo-yo? Because I fell in love with yo-yos after I saw the movie HUO Li Shao Nian Wang. From then on, I began to collect yo-yo for five years. And now I have 68 yo-yos. They have different shapes and colors. Some are from friends and some are my gifts of my birthdays and New Year. But I bought my first yo-yo from our school shop.

Collecting is popular among the teens now. Many teenagers turn it into a hobby. You want to know what my hobby is. Now let me tell you. I like collecting erasers, in fact , I think it’s probably my favorite. In my eyes, each eraser is different , they are cute and beautiful. And I believe I can’t live without them.( And they’ve brought me a lot of fun and happiness.)

I’ve been collecting erasers since 8 years ago. I’m so crazy that I want to get all the erasers over the world . So now I have 500 so far. I have to stop because I’ve run out of my pencil-cases to store them, they’re all around my desk , the first one of them I ever got was a shoe eraser on my 7th birthday. I particularly love erasers with animals. I have a big one with a bear on it and another one with a tiger. You can’t believe I have an eraser with an alien.

today is June 9th. Mu father and I went to a beach in Haikou. At six in the morning, we went to the bus station and took the bus to the beach. We arrived there at 8 o’clock. It was warm and fine, and there were many people . Among them there were a lot of foreigners. Some if them were swimming and some of them were surfing. My father began to teach me how to surf. At first , I was afraid, but I had a try. then, I had been surfing for nearly two hours. After I got home. I felt really tired, but quite happy.
