今天，小有斩获，买了一套英国早期雪莱骨瓷茶具（Shelley)。在英国，欧洲和美国，澳洲，都有专门的雪莱品牌骨瓷瓷器收集协会和收藏俱乐部,之所以有这么多的收集和收藏俱乐部，是因为雪莱是英国著名骨瓷皇家阿尔伯特和道尔顿骨瓷的鼻祖。

由亨利·崴尔门（Wileman）在1860年（正值中英鸦片战争期间）创建的Foley陶器公司，命名为弗利瓷器工厂，就是雪莱骨瓷茶具的前身，地点位于英国著名的瓷都-弗利区芬顿，斯塔福德郡。在1862年，善于市场经营和对精细瓷器很内行的雪莱，由亨利老板聘请加盟佛利公司，仅仅10年的功夫，JB.雪莱就被亨利进一步聘为生意合伙人了，成立了Wileman有限公司。在1881年珀西.雪莱也加入了该公司。他的三个儿子，诺曼，杰克和鲍勃·雪莱在1918年加入。鲍勃的两个儿子，阿伦和唐纳德，也于1946年加入该公司。成为家族公司，雪莱家族对欧洲和北美精细骨瓷市场需求和商情，特别是骨瓷制造技术和质量要求都很精通。
雪莱骨瓷最早使用的商标名称，在1910年前底款都是用《佛利》（FOLEY)但因为英国瓷都许多其他有名的瓷器公司也使用该名称，和中国今天的商业纠纷一样，这些公司争夺骨瓷品牌权，比如都想叫《景德镇》，起纠纷就进了法庭，亨利·崴尔门（Wileman）公司因为使银子不够，败诉了。因而他们在1910年和1916年之间就用《晚佛利》命名他们的骨瓷（late
Foley)。只加一个字，还用原名，这又引起了混乱，也就是叫《景德镇》不成，我就叫《新景德镇》，可这长久下去也不是个办法，而他们公司瓷器技术比其他厂家不差，甚至有比别家具有更多的优秀骨瓷设计艺术家和工艺工程师，而精细高级骨瓷又是他们的长项。从1912年起，他们干脆用“雪莱”命名自己的骨瓷。更于1925年，公司更名为雪莱(Shelley)。它成为有限责任公司。1966年，雪莱有限公司走到了尽头，当它被英国联合瓷器公司收购合并，并入了道尔顿集团，皇家阿尔伯特和道尔顿骨瓷实际上吸收了雪莱骨瓷的技术和设计，因而，雪莱骨瓷实际是这两家名骨瓷的鼻祖，然而，早期的雪莱技术和艺术的独特设计是不能全盘仿制的。

This March 2009 photo
of the old "Shelley’s factory (formerly Wileman’s) depicts the
building still standing (though roofless) to the
north of king street in Foley, presumably next to E. Brain, as was
(the now demolished row of buildings at the back may belong to
brain’s works?). This seems (since the demolition of the Old Foley
works in 2006) to be the only one of the main buildings of the
various Foley pot works left – though some of Brain’s building
might survive in other forms."

this view shows the larger
area - the remains of the Shelley works sits in isolation, many of
the surrounding buildings have been demolished and surviving parts
incorporated in industrial units.
Wileman’s occupied
all of the ground there – with china production on one side of the
road that cuts through from king street to Brocksford road,
earthenware on the other (see map
below).
