Learning to be independent

I think it’s necessary for us to be independent because someday we have to face many challenges and difficulties in the future. I’ve got some experience of being independent.  In the past, I was quite lazy. When I met with something difficult, I always asked my parents or teachers for help at once. But now, I’ve leaned to be independent when I’m solving problems. I try my best to solve it on my own. And I used to go to school in my mum’s car, but now I’ve learned to go to school by myself. This helps me learn essential road safety and life skills. As a student, I want to tell the students of my age to solve your problems by yourselves and then you’ll be more independent.   (王怡然)

 I think learning to be independent is necessary. We have to leave parents and live alone sooner or later. Then we have to solve problems and make meals by ourselves. So learning to be independent seems very important.

I’m a very independent girl. For example, when my parents are away on business trips, I can cook meals for myself; I also go over my lessons and finish my homework on my own. That’s also a kind of independence.

At last, here are some suggestions. Don’t be afraid of learning to be independent although there will be some trouble. It’s a really exciting experience for you. Nothing is impossible for a willing heart and you’ll be proud of yourselves.    (刘天淇)
