The road to Al-'Ula never fails to deliver something out of the ordinary. Closed tracks make up the lion's share of the course, so well-honed handling skills will pay handsome dividends. Even competitors who lose time due to a botched navigation of the fiendish boulder fields or for some other reason will get a reward when they feast their eyes on the splendid canyons and the beautiful landscapes near the finish. The stage will be decided on the dunes, with some of the majestic Nabataean temples visible on the horizon.
