宝宝生病了……所以没空翻译,大家凑合着看吧,趁机提高下英文。我补充了些中文注释,加粗的英文单词可以学习下。

圣罗兰鸦片香水 Yves Saint Laurent – Opium Perfume – 2000

This YSL advertisement exhibits a nude Sophie Dahl(当年著名的“肥模”) sprawled in quite the suggestive pose It became the most complained about ad in A.S.A(英国广告标准局) history and was banned from U.K. billboards(大型户外广告牌).

Gucci – 2003
The Gucci ad offers model Carmen Kass(就是拍Dior J'adore香水那个著名金色广告的名模), as she seductively lowers her underwear – revealing her pubic hair (shaven in the form of Gucci’s trademark ‘G’) to the gazing eyes of her male counterpart It was not banned by the A.S.A, as they instead sided with Gucci’s stance that the ad, “intended to be the ultimate ironic pun for a sexy brand in a logo-led age.”

Elle Macpherson – Intimates内衣 – 2004
Allegedly inspired by the Alfred Hitchcock(希区柯克) film Rear Window《后窗》, the A.S.A banned the ad for the perceived presentation of female masturbation viewed through the lens of a “peeping-tom.偷窥者”

Diesel – 2006
Intended for adult audiences, the ad was banned for overtly alluding to sexual behavior – and group sexual behavior nonetheless.

Lee – 2006
Although the ad was not banned (the girl was seen as ‘of-age’ and sexually inoffensive), this ‘Lolita’ image is nonetheless sexually provocative and stirred itself up a good amount controversy.

Sisley – 2007
This ‘fashion-junkie’ ad campaign by Sisley left little to be misunderstood – the clear drug reference is quite palpable(明显的).

Tom Ford – 2008
Never one to be shy, this may be one of Tom Ford’s more benign advertising campaigns.  It was, however, banned in Italy for its suggestively provocative and overtly vulgar imagery.

American Apparel – 2009
Although obviously without any substantial nudity, this American Apparel ad was nonetheless banned in 2009.  The reason: it depicts an apparently sexualized child (believed to be under the age of 16) who is progressively exposing more skin with each photo in an amateur-style photo shoot.  The model was 22 at the time.

Patrick Cox – 2003
Only intended to be run only once (so therefore, never actually banned), this ad campaign from Patrick Cox proved to be quite controversial.  Penetration would be impossible, however, due to the fact that both men (seemingly wrestling on the floor) are wearing jock-straps(保护型男士内裤,又叫“屁股空空裤”).

Yves Saint Laurent – M7 Fragrance – 2002
Under the direction of Tom Ford, and his claim, “Perfume is worn on the skin, so why hide the body,” YVS delivered this full-frontal nude male advertising campaign in 2002.

其实我觉得广告拍得裸很简单,要拍得被禁就需要点技术了。

Society itself is based on the normative conventions of behavior.  When an act is perpetrated outside this set of social standards, it is deemed deviant, perverse and otherwise inappropriate.  Oftentimes, the mere insinuation of such conduct is seen as offensive.

These are the circumstances surrounding the 10 advertisements about to be presented.  Their either explicit or implicit presentation of behavior pushed the boundaries of social convention and ultimately, acceptability.  Because of this, they generated a fair share of controversy – generally leading to a ban of the advertisement.
