Hi, 这个单元的主题是romance，那这次我们就以此为主题练习写作和演讲吧（下学期四六级考试应该有口试，所以现在的每一次口语练习都不要错过哦）。为了扩展大家的思路，我想了两个更具体的题目：1. What is romance/love? 2. What kind of man/woman do I like? 希望这些题目能带你思考：什么是真正的爱，你喜欢什么样的人，你自己是什么样的人。以下是一段引言和一篇范文，也许帮你拓展思路和组织语言。

It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

What is Romance?

1. [Topic: Tell us what you’re going to talk about ] Hi, everyone. I’ll talk about “what is romance?” I met Peter when I was 15 years old. He became one of my best friends in high school. At that time, I had never imagined that he would be my husband some day. Ten years later, he married me on a very lovely Christian wedding which was a celebration of our seven-year-long romance. Some friends of mine said it was like a fairy tale come real. My story sounds quite romantic, doesn’t it?

2. [Supporting details: Give us some examples] However, the course of true love never did run smooth. Before we got married, Peter and I studied in different cities. We saw each other once in a while. Since we were not rich students, we traveled by train. Every time, I felt excited in the beginning. But the 12-hour trip sometimes was really tedious. When the train pulled into the station, I got off like a bird. All the tiredness and anxiety were gone when Peter waved and smiled at me. If it was in winter, the warmth of his hug lingered on and on. So if you asked me what romance is, I would say romance is the warm hug waiting for me at the train station after a long trip.

3. [Make a conclusion with personal opinions] What’s more, the romance didn’t end when we got married. Although we argue and quarrel sometimes, we love each other more than ever. Last year we had a baby girl. Peter was with me all the time when I gave birth. He takes good care of me and the baby. If our baby girl wakes up after midnight, he always gets up immediately to comfort her and rock her to sleep again. His devotion and patience encourages me to be a better wife and mother. We learn from each other and grow in love. Just as Bible says, love is patient and love is kind. Thank you!
