苏轼《惠崇春江晚景》英译点评

1）  整体把握较好，后两行略差；

2）  尚未做到完全押韵，亦有凑韵现象。

竹外桃花三两枝，春江水暖鸭先知。

蒌蒿满地芦芽短，正是河豚欲上时。

诗人简介：

苏 轼（1037年-1101年），字子瞻、和仲，号铁冠道人、东坡居士，世称苏东坡、苏仙，眉州眉山（今四川省眉山市）人，北宋文学家、书画家、唐宋八大家之一。作品有《东坡七集》《东坡易传》等。

Biosketch of the Poet:

SU Shi (1037-1101), Zizhan and Hezhong by courtesy names, Dongpo and Iron Crown Taoist by literary names, known as Su Dongpo and Su Immortal. The poet, a native of Mt. Mei, Meizhou (present-day Mt. Mei, Sichuan Province), was a litterateur and calligrapher in the Northern Song dynasty, and was honored as one of the Eight Great Litterateurs of the Tang and Song Dynasties. His works include Seven Volumes by Dongpo and Dongpos Commentary on I Ching.（彭雅卓译）

Behind bamboos, some peach trees start to bloom,

Spring comes, water warms, and ducks know first.

Reed buds come out, and worm woods over-boom,

It's the time when globe-fish start swimming east.

My Translation:

A Night View On the Spring River

Two or three peach sprigs out of the bamboo,

The ducks first know the warmth of the Spring blue.

Wormwood all over the ground, reed sprouts short,

It’s time for globe-fish to come up to sport.
