王安石《元日》英译点评

评论1：押韵欠佳，节奏比较整齐，部分诗行语法、语义欠妥。

评论2：

1）  英语诗歌中的时态，如无特别用意，用一般现在时叙述；

2）  Boom用于firecracker不当，the bright sun shines o'er every room不合常理；old与wind不押韵。行文不当为凑韵所致；形意当水乳交融，浑然一体。

爆竹声中一岁除，

春风送暖入屠苏。

千门万户曈曈日，

总把新桃换旧符。

Crack, crack, the firecracker now ends the year;

A spring wind sends warmth to the herbalwine.

A thousand households bask in the fresh sun;

The old plaque has been changed to a new sign.

诗人简介：

王安石（1021年—1086年），字介甫，号半山。抚州临川（今江西抚州）人。北宋著名思想家、政治家、文学家、改革家。

Biosketch of the Poet:

WANG Anshi (1021-1086), Big Jade by courtesy name and Half Mountain by literary name, a native of Linchuan, Fuzhou (present-day Fuzhou, Jiangxi Province). He was a well-known thinker, statesman, litterateur and reformer in the Northern Song dynasty.

A year passed amid the firecracker boom,

The wine aroma wafted from spring wind.

Whilst the bright sun shines o'er every room,

A bran-new charm is put up for the old.

译者简介：

It is the best choice if one wants to produce poetic texts inspired by the original in another language.The translation of poetry should be modest by virtue and it's better to use simple and vivid language to get a sense for the poem.
