钟山风雨起苍黄，

百万雄师过大江。

虎踞龙盘今胜昔，

天翻地覆慨而慷。

宜将剩勇追穷寇，

不可沽名学霸王。

天若有情天亦老，

人间正道是沧桑。

Pentameter · PLA Occupies Nanking

A storm does rise to the Bell Mountains blast;

Our troops sweep the River, a million strong.

Tiger-and-Dragon o’erpowers all those past,

Now behold, sky and earth hurled upside down.

We’d better strike to catch the dying foe;   

From Overlord Hsiang never shall we learn.

If Heaven has feelings, old He will grow;

It's the Right Way  to evolve and to turn.
