         我本想在这些公司后面加个注释说明被收购的这家公司的产品或技术的现状，但是当我编辑到一半的时候我抓狂了。譬如Veritas的底层技术被用来识别rootkit；Symantec Endpoint Protection是通过四款产品融合产生的，包括：“Symantec Antivirus 10.2”、“Symantec Client Security 3.1”、“Symantec WholeSecurity”、“Symantec Sygate Enterprise Protection 5.1”。重复数据删除技术被引进到Symantec Netbackup和Symantec Backup Exec；Altiris准备成为Symantec所有产品的介入平台……等等等等。

         Symantec收购一家公司后，他会从各个方面融合这家公司的技术。给用户更强大的功能，更完善的保护。他也有失败的案例，你们很多人可能不知道，Symantec曾经收购过“LANDesk”后来又拆分了出来。现在LANDesk都是Altiris的首要竞争对手。我经常会对用户说：“Symantec既然有过收购LANDesk这类资产软件公司的经验，那么他会再次收购这类公司时会选个更弱的吗？”

         Symantec的Suite产品都是打包形式的产品集，用户如果购买了Suite，就可以用优惠的价格享受更多的Symantec产品。
