 Step 1:Warming up

  T:Good morning ,boys and girls,how are you today?I’m fine,too.Thank you.What day is today?How’s the weather today?And I’m very happy to have a class with you.Are you ready for our class?Great.

First,let’s sing a song together.It’s a song about family.（设计意图：通过自由交谈缓和一下学生们的紧张气氛，同时练习口语交际，英文歌曲的运用既活跃了课堂气氛，又为下一环节的引出做了铺垫）

Now I want to show my family to you,OK?Look,this is my family,the family has a father,the family has a mother,they are my parents.I love my parents.Do you love your parents?Good children,and so does our friend Tom.,he loves his parents,too.And he misses them very much.（设计意图：向学生展示我的家庭，讲解新单词has 以及parent,同时进行情感教育，引出下一环节）

Step 2:New lesson

  T:Look,who are they?Where are they?They are at the exit,they are waiting for Tom’s parents,but they don’t know them.Let’s help them,OK?Good.(设计意图：利用图片向学生介绍课文背景，同时引起学生的好奇心，看看哪一位是Tom 的父亲)

Now let’s watch the video and find out which is Tom’s father.（1听，总听）

 We know Tom’s father,can you descibe him?Now,let’s listen to the video and underline the sentences that describe Tom’s father.（2听，分听，学习课文中的两个重点句子及单词My father is tall and strong.My father has short hair.）

Well done,now we know Tom’s father,what about Tom’s mother?let’s watch the video again,and find out what’s Tom’s mother like?（3听，分听）

Step 3:Practice

All of you did a good job,now I’ll give you two riddles,look,the first one,It’s an animal. It’s big and strong. It has four legs. It has two big ears.It has a long nose. What is it? Guess.Yes,it’s an elephant.

Now,the second one.Let’s read it together,OK?It’s an animal. It’s small. It has two long ears. It has two red eyes.It has a short tail. What is it?Guess.Yes,it’s a rabbit.(设计意图：通过读谜题，既让学生联系了句型，同时也让学生复习了身体部位词，即开动了脑筋，又为下面的活动做了热身）

You did a perfect job,now I’ll show you a beautiful teacher,look,who is she?Yes,Miss Li,can you describe Miss Li?Wonderful.（设计意图：学习了课文，读了谜题，说了韵句，一切都围绕着本课重点进行的，但是，都是在老师带领下完成的，并不清楚学生是否会运用，通过介绍李老师，检测学生是否会正确使用句型，描述身边的人和自己的父母亲，掌握好学生的学习情况）

Just now,we knew Tom’s parents,we got two riddles and we descibed Miss Li,now it’s time for our parents.Please take out your photos and describe your parents in groups,OK?Come on.（设计意图：根据本节课主题，family，确定活动方案，让学生带好照片，介绍自己的家庭，点题）

Step 4:Summery and homewok

Today we learned how to describe a person,we talked about family,I want to ask you a question what is family,what does it mean to you?At last ,I want to share a video with you.I saw some students eyes are red,look at the word family.F means father,m means mother ,I means I and l  means love ,y means you ,so tell your parents that you love them,OK?（观看CCTV,family视频，进行情感教育）
