世界上每一部经典绘本都会给孩子们带来意想不到的好处，而英语启蒙最好的工具就是原版的英文绘本。     

        因此AAE特设英语绘本阅读栏目，由AAE外教老师选择富有意趣的绘本，亲自录音并制作成教学视频，通过故事、语言、画面三方面的结合，持续不断地传授纯正的美式英语口语，有效培养学生的分析的能力以及交际能力。

以下为绘本的中英文对照

Chapter 4

Finding her prince

The little mermaid floated joyfully back to the castle.

“How was it?” her sisters asked together.

“Beautiful,” she sighed.

All day, the sisters played in the castle waters.

“Catch!” cried the eldest, throwing a sponge ball.

But the little mermaid was too busy dreaming of walking with her prince.

That night, and every night for a week, she swam back to the cove and gazed longingly at the empty beach.

At dawn, she returned to her statue under the sea. “Will I ever see my prince again?” she asked. The marble boy just smiled.

“Why do you swim to the same place each night?” asked her sisters, one morning.

The little mermaid blushed and told them about her prince.

“I’ve seen that prince,” said the eldest sister. “He lives in a grand palace by the sea.”

“Really?” cried the excited little mermaid. “Show me!”

That evening, all six mermaids rose up through the sea and swam to the palace.

It stood proud and shiny at the water’s edge. As the mermaids watched, a man strode onto the balcony.

“It’s my prince!” cried the little mermaid. “Do you think he’s looking for me?”

“Don’t be silly,” said the eldest sister. 

Day after day, the little mermaid returned to the palace. Each time, she swam a little closer.

When the prince went sailing, she swam behind him. She prayed for a storm, so she could save him again. But it never came.

第四章

找到她的王子

小美人鱼欢快地游回城堡。“怎么样？”她的姐姐们都游过来问她。“太美了，”她赞叹道。一整天的时间，姐妹们都在城堡的海水里游戏。

“接住！”最年长的姐姐喊道，丢过来一个海绵弹球。

但是小美人鱼正忙着做和王子一起散步的美梦呢，根本没抓住。

从那天起后的一周，每天晚上她都要游回上次那个海湾，对着空空的海岸呆望和期待。

黎明时，她回到了她海底的雕像旁边，问雕像，“你说我还能见到王子吗？”可是雕像只是对她微笑。

“你为什么每天晚上都要游到同一个地方去？”一天早晨，她的姐姐们问道。

小美人鱼红着脸告诉姐姐们关于王子的事情。

“我见过那个王子，”最大的姐姐说。“他就住在海边一个美丽的宫殿里。”

“真的吗？”小美人鱼兴奋地叫道。“快点带我去！”

那个傍晚，六只美人鱼公主一起升到海面，向宫殿游去。

王子的宫殿就高傲而耀眼地屹立在海边。当美人鱼公主们看着宫殿时，刚好有一个人大踏步地向阳台这边走来。

“这就是我的王子！”小美人鱼喊道。“你们觉得他也在找我吗？”

“别傻了，”大姐说道。

日子一天一天过去，小美人鱼每天都回到这个宫殿。每次她都会游得稍微近一点。

当王子去航海时，她就在他船的后面游着。她甚至期待再有一次暴风雨，那样她就可以再救他一次了。但是，暴风雨没有再来。
