非谓语动词解题策略

一、分析句子结构

对非谓语动词的考察，主要从两方面入手。一是考察非谓语动词的功能，二是考察非谓语动词与构成简单句、并列句及复合句等中的谓语动词的区别。因此，做题时应做到：

1. 查看句子是否缺少谓语动词，以判断是否使用非谓语动词。

2. 看句子中，有无连词。

典型例题

1. ________to the left, you'll find the post office.

2. If you ________to the left, you'll find the post office.

3. ________to the left, and you'll find the post office.

A. Turning    B. To turn    C. Turn (turn)    D. Turned

归纳总结

1、若有连词，则句子结构一般为:

    (1) 句子(,)并列连词+句子；    (2) 从属连词+句子，主句。

2、若无连词，则句子结构一般为：

    (1) 非谓语动词(短语)，句子；    (2) 句子(,)非谓语动词(短语）。

二、分析逻辑主语

确定要选非谓语动词之后，第二步要分析其逻辑主语。

非谓语动词虽不能作谓语，但仍具有动词特点，其逻辑上的动作执行者就叫做逻辑主语。非谓语动词作状语时，其逻辑主语须和句子的真正主语一致。若不一致，则须加上自己的逻辑主语，即构成独立主格结构。

1. (1) As I _______ a teacher, I should set a good example to students.

  (2) ____a teacher, I should set a good example to students .

    A. Being       B. Having been       C. To be       D. am

2. (1) If time _____, I’ll go to see my friends tomorrow.

三、分析语态

分析语态就是在确定逻辑主语之后，分析非谓语动词和逻辑主语在搭配使用时是主动还是被动关系。

1. ______from space, the earth looks blue.

2.______from space, we can see the earth is blue.

A. Seen    B. Seeing    C. To see    D. See

四、分析时态

在选定了主动或被动后，还要考虑动作发生的时间问题，即时态。

非谓语动词充当定语时，不定式表将来；现在分词表进行，表主动；过去分词表完成，表被动。现在分词充当状语时，若和句中谓语动词同时发生用一般式，若在句中谓语动词之前发生用完成式。

1. The building ______now will be a restaurant .

2. The building ______next year will be a restaurant .

3. The building ______last year is a restaurant.

 [注意] 非谓语动词的否定也是常考的项目，要认清否定形式，非谓语动词的否定都应将not 放在前面。

 如：What is the reason for ______there ?
