下雨的时候当然要听一首和雨有关的歌，呵呵~~记得最早听到是黄箭口香糖的广告曲，然后论坛上就开始有人找了。

关于这首歌的介绍如下（搜来的）：

The Cascades来自加州圣地亚哥，是由擅长作曲以及吉他的主唱John Gummoe领军的，他在1950年代末期结识了另外四位乐手，由于彼此十分投缘，决定共同组团。他们以类似The Rooftop Singers的流畅抒情曲风，在许多私人的宴会上演出，逐渐打响名声。有一天晚上，他们正在某家俱乐部表演的时候，有一家唱片公司的星探正好在场，立刻决定跟他们签约。1962年底，唱片公司把他们带到好莱坞的录音室，帮他们录制第一张单曲Second Chance，虽然并不成功，但是他们的第二张单曲，也就是Rhythm of the Rain，却得到了爆炸性的成功，在流行榜上获得了第三名，同时更勇夺抒情歌曲排行榜的冠军。

只可惜，他们的运气显然不是很好，接下来的Shy Girl和The Last Leaf虽然也还算很受欢迎，却无法再创同样的高峰，加上披头带来的英国摇滚入侵狂潮，他们的唱片竟然被认为“太美国”而遭到了冷落，尽管他们继续努力，却依然改变不了过气的命运，团员们先后打了退堂鼓，甚至连负责创作大部分歌曲的John Gummoe也宣告退出，到了1969年，只剩下萨克斯风手还是原始的团员，当然也就更加的没有东山再起的机会了。不过，虽然他们只有一首真正畅销的歌曲，这首Rhythm of the Rain却成了流行音乐史上最令人难忘的经典之一，不但翻唱的人难以数计，更平均每隔几年就要再流行一次。而在我国，它也被翻译成国语歌曲《雨的旋律》，同样也是三十多年以来始终大受欢迎。
