Going to study in the U.S.? Here’s
a conversation you won’t want to miss.
There are
things every college student needs to know, like where to register
for classes and buy books, or where to get the best food on
campus.
If you’re a lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or intersex (LGBTI) student coming to the U.S., there’s something else you might want to know: where to find friends and resources to make your experience as memorable as possible.
The good news: “There is space for every speck in the spectrum on an American campus,” says Eissa Saeed, a media student at The George Washington University, originally from Pakistan. “To have that and the allowance to be, to learn and to experience as your true self is quite a luxury.”
