contemplate是英文合同中很常见的词语，但我实在不知道该把它译为什么。见过“预期的”、“拟议的”等译法。现在还没空研究这个问题，先在此存档。各位高人如有高见本人愿洗耳恭听。
下面是卓越网上某读者点评美国风险投资示范合同（中英文对照本）的话：
全书三分之二的内容翻译是准确的，但仍有一些翻译的意思不够准确，举个简单例子，private placement， 在风险投资中应该是私募的意思，而本书里翻译成私密安置， transactions comtemplated under the Transaction Agreement中的contemplated翻译成预期的，偏离了原意，容易造成理解上的错误。很多地方翻译的很拗口，不如看原文更能明白意思。对不起这120元的书价。
下为美国风险投资协会indemnification agreement的内容：
The [By-laws] [and] [Certificate of Incorporation] and the DGCL expressly provide that the indemnification provisions set forth therein are not exclusive, and thereby contemplate that contracts may be entered into between the Company and members of the board of directors, officers and other persons with respect to indemnification;
下为某论坛的帖子摘要：
In any legal proceeding to enforce any award resulting from an arbitration proceeding and in any legal action between the Parties pursuant to or relating to this Agreement or any of the transactions contemplated hereby or thereby, each Party expressly waives the defense of sovereign immunity and any other defense or exemption from suit, judgment or execution based on the fact or allegation that it is a party, agency or instrumentality of or representing a government.
