著名艺术家徐冰先生

    徐冰，1955年出生于重庆。1981年毕业于中央美术学院版画系，并留校任教。1987年毕业于中央美术学院，获硕士学位。曾于1990年受美国威斯康辛大学邀请为荣誉艺术家，移居美国。2008年回国，现为中央美术学院副院长、教授、博士生导师。
    在自20世纪八十年代末开始创作的成名作《天书》系列中，他亲自设计刻印数千个“新汉字”，以图象性、符号性等议题深刻探讨中国文化的本质和思维方式，成为中国当代艺术史上的经典。九十年代移居美国后陆续创作《新英文书法》、《鬼打墙》、《地书》等。此外，本世纪以来徐冰的创作面向更为丰富，特别是其日益关注的艺术介入社会的题材，《烟草计划》、《木林森》、《凤凰》等均是颇具深度的代表作品。鉴于在当代艺术领域的杰出贡献，1999年他荣膺美国文化界最高奖“麦克·阿瑟天才奖”；2004年以“9·11”废墟尘埃为材料所做的作品《尘埃》，在英获得世界视觉艺术最大奖项——首届“Artes·Mundi国际当代艺术奖”；2007年在荣获美国版画艺术终身成就奖。
