7′

brother left a suggestive comment, “See You Soon in F & F!!”
The entry was posted a few days ago and is a crucial one. There
were rumors about Paul Walker’s role to be played by Cody Walker
after the death of the charismatic hero. The confirmation of the
role of Brian O’Connor in Fast and
Furious 7 is an important decision taken by the media house
and the production team given the sensitive nature of the role.
Social media, nowadays, is a fabulous medium to convey information,
feelings and Cody has used the outlet to relay stunning
information.
The “About Us”
page on Cody Walker’s Facebook profile, contains this piece of text
which received more than 5,994 likes in its social circle. The
death of Paul Walker was such a tragic event that the production
team stopped shooting for some days. They were in a fix about the
role of Brian O’Connor and the consequently the name of his brother
Cody surfaced into the scene. The casting team of Fast and Furious 7 realized that they
needed somebody who looks like Paul to play the role of Brian. Cody
is the identical brother of Paul and has a lot of facial
similarities with him. Starting from the jaw structure to the hair,
the brothers have similar, physical traits which boosts the appeal
of Cody stepping in. Universal Pictures sees a void Cody can fill
and offered him the role. There were no official confirmation from
the production house but the comment listed on Cody’s Facebook
“About Us” page says everything.
This update comes
just as the announcement of the delayed movie release date took
place. Fast and Furious 7 will
be released on Apr. 10, 2015. This has been confirmed by Vin Diesel
a few days ago through his own Facebook page. The production team
decided to use CGI technology while shooting Cody from behind to
make him look like his late brother. The shots of Cody were
supposed to be taken at a distance so that special effects can come
into play.
The last scenes
of Fast and Furious 7 have been
filmed a few days ago and Diesel commented over the same Facebook
post, “The last scene we filmed together……There was a unique sense
of completion…….” Cody Walker’s confirmation about the role of
Brian O’Connor had created a massive following, more than 5,000
people have shared the information. Given the widespread popularity
of Paul Walker, this issue has been the center of a social media
buzz throughout the last week. This could be from the amount of
hints and suggestions, but no confirmation from any involved party.
Until now.
Ideas were
created by devoted fans, even virtual scripts were presented online
regarding the final scenes of Fast
and Furious 7. Paul Walker was not only a good actor but was
also praised as a good son, a trusting brother and devoted father.

Cody Walker as
Brian O’Conner in ‘Fast and Furious 7′
Rumor has it that
Cody Walker has been tapped to replace big brother Paul Walker in
Fast and Furious 7. Although there
is no such confirmation on behalf of Universal Pictures,
speculations about casting Walker are running high and fans are
happy. The Fast and Furious 7
cast includes Vin Diesel, Nathalie Emmanuel, John Brotherton,
Tyrese Gibson, Dwayne Johnson, Djimon Hounsou, Jason Statham, Lucas
Black, Kurt Russell, and Tony Jaa. Paul Walker was supposed to play
a pivotal role in Fast and Furious
7, and the younger Walker has been approached to play that
role. If Walker agrees to play the role of Brian O’Connor in
Fast and Furious 7, he will be
shot from wider angles and from a distance so that CGI technology
can be used to make him look like his brother. Fans of the
Fast and Furious 7 series started
posting script ideas to different social media streams.
The fans are
quite happy about this decision, if this is implemented, and the
internet is buzzing with positive reviews on this rumor. One tweet
says, “Cody Walker, Paul Walker’s brother, will play in the new FF7
movie. Good choice.” Another tweet says, “Paul Walker’s younger
brother, Cody Walker, the best of the best choices.” Not only
tweets, but Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Plus, StumbleUpon and many
such social sites has brought out the verdict of the fans. Again,
these are only speculations, but it does prove the emotional
connect that the older Walker had with his fans.
Fast and Furious 7 Director James Wan and
Universal Pictures decided to approach Walker after much thought;
Cody Walker is basically a lookalike of Paul Walker. Although
Fast and Furious 7 may cast the
Walker in his brother’s role, he has not yet commented regarding
this issue. Fans did have a mixed bag reaction, but mainly positive
reviews flowed through the media seemingly happy with the idea.
Casting the younger Walker to play Brian O’Connor will also be a
wise decision in keeping the spirit of the film and the sentiment
of the fan followers. Vin Diesel’s character Dom Toretto also needs
to be complemented on-screen, and who can do it better than Paul
Walker’s own brother? It is speculated that the movie is going to
garner a lot of revenue throughout the world, especially in the
United States.
Cody Walker
worked as a stuntman in the movie industry and appears an
appropriate candidate for the role of Brian O’Connor. Fast and Furious 7 was originally
scheduled for release during the summer of 2014; however, that has
been postponed. The possible casting of Walker, who is 15 years
younger than brother Paul, has come behind another rumor of Justin
Bieber as Brian O’Connor. Fans were not happy with that idea,
evidenced by viral comments like: “I’m sorry, Justin Bieber isn’t
good enough,” and “Justin Bieber replacing Paul in Fast and the Furious 7 oh kill me now.” So,
the Fast and Furious 7 can really
garner a lot of revenue if the casting of Cody Walker is finalized
to play Brian in the film, especially when the fans are happy.
Agree or disagree? What do you think?

Paul Walker’s
Brother to Film ‘Fast & Furious 7′ Scenes?
Paul Walker’s
younger brother, Cody Walker, has recently been asked to appear in
Fast & Furious 7 to help
complete some of the film’s final scenes. The news was recently
reported by the Daily Mail,
indicating that Cody could be set to take his brother’s place for
the latest high-octane iteration of the much-loved franchise.
Paul was
tragically killed on Nov. 30, along with friend and business
partner Roger Rodas, when traveling back to a charitable fundraiser
for his nonprofit organization, Reach Out Worldwide (ROWW). The
vehicle – a Carrera GT Porsche, driven by Rodas – reportedly
careened off the road and slammed into a light pole, before
bursting into flames.
The event led to
an outpouring of emotion from friends, family and fans, alike.
Tributes and charitable venues were held to commemorate the
illustrious Takers actor, whilst
mourning crowds congregated around the crash site.
Meanwhile,
Universal Pictures suspended production of Fast & Furious 7, indefinitely, whilst
the studio considered ways to move forward. The studio claimed it
was their duty to put the big budget movie on hold and vowed to
share some of the proceeds from the DVD sales of Fast & Furious 6 with the actor’s
charity. Chairman of Universal Pictures Donna Langley had the
following words to offer:
“We share in the
deep grief of his family, friends and the countless fans who love
him… We keep Paul’s memory alive and honor his legacy through
continued support of Reach Out Worldwide, the nonprofit he founded
to give hope to those who must rebuild after they have experienced
natural disasters.”
Paul was on a
break from shooting, over the Thanksgiving holiday period, before
his accident. This prompted immediate talks between movie producers
over how to proceed. According to the Daily Mail, a source close to the
production team has reported on the conclusions of meetings between
movie producers; ultimately, it appears they elected to search for
someone who looked similar to Paul.
Describing Cody
as “nearly identical” to Paul, the source briefly reflected upon
the strategies that were in contention for future shooting:
“They can shoot
Cody from behind and at distance and if it’s a shot they need
Paul’s face in close up they can CGI it later on.”
25-year-old Cody
Walker formerly worked as a stuntman on a number of movies.
Although Cody currently resides in Oregon, he has been staying with
his mother in Los Angeles, since the saddening departure of his
celebrity brother.
However, a
spokesperson for Universal Pictures also recently spoke to the
newspaper, emphasizing the importance of providing Paul’s family
and colleagues support; according to the spokesperson, this remains
a priority the studio is “… dedicated to providing.”
Indeed, the
morning after Paul’s tragic demise, executives at Universal held a
conference call to coordinate their next steps. It is alleged that
Ron Meyer, the vice chairman of NBCUniversal, promptly contacted a
list of the star’s friends and family to offer condolences on
behalf of the organization.
The Hollywood Reporter revealed that
screenwriter Chris Morgan is now feverishly working to revise the
film’s script, in a bid to retire Paul Walker from the franchise
using previously shot scenes. The magazine also reported, assuming
Morgan is successful, the cast and crew could resume shooting as
early as January of next year. Fast
& Furious 7 director James Wan recently confirmed that
production would resume at some point in the future.
However, in light
of recent events, Fast & Furious
7′s previous July 11 release date has now been scrapped. As to
be expected, a new release date is yet to be announced.
