本期主题:会说话,让你少奋斗10年-

Having a good conversation takes practice, and it is even an art form to some. It doesn’t have to be as hard as many may think, though. There are some simple steps you can take when conversing. First of all, be confident! Being around confident people makes you feel good because their enthusiasm can be infectious. Don’t be shy, but rather, project confidence to make the other person feel comfortable. If you’re not sure what to talk about, simply ask questions to find out more about the person! What do they like to do? What did they do today or last weekend? Simple questions like this can easily spark and carry a pleasant conversation.

Make sure to listen! Listening is only half of any conversation, so pay attention to what the other person is saying. You can show you are listening by acknowledging what they say with head movements. If you’re too busy thinking about something else, or thinking about what you want to say, the conversation is not going to get far. What the other person is saying will lead to questions you can ask. In fact, it’s best to let the other person do most of the talking. They will likely not even realize they’re doing all the talking, but after the conversation, they will think of you as a good conversationalist!
