五、表示不同看法的句型：

① Some believe that… 有些人认为……

   Others argue that… 其他人认为……

   Still others maintain that… 还有一些人主张……

② be different from…in…opinion 在……观点上和……不同

例：They are quite different from each other in their opinions.

    他们的意见各不相同。

③ hold the opinion… 持……的观点

例：Some people hold the opinion that it is good to have a small family.

    有些人持有这种观点：成立一个小家庭是件好事。

④ think differently on this question 在这个问题看法不同

例：They think quite differently on this question.

    他们这个问题上的态度大相径庭。

⑤ Which opinion is right / more reasonable?哪种意见更正确/更合理？

例：I’m inclined to accept the latter/ the second view.

    我倾向于接受后者/第二个观点。

⑥ my opinion is… 我的看法是……

例：My opinion is that there is something in both of the views.

    我的看法是两种观点都有依据。

⑦ With regard to the question, I think a correct attitude is (that)…

   关于这个问题，我认为正确的态度是……

⑧ in my opinion 在我看来

例：In my opinion, whether it is good or bad depends on how we look at it.

    在我看来，无论是好是坏，取决于我们如何看待它。

例：Parents and children think differently on this question. Parents hold the opinion that children should work hard and do well at school. Children, however, believe that they should have more freedom to spend their leisure time and to plan for their own future.

    家长和孩子对这个问题的看法不同。家长认为，孩子应努力学习，在学校表现不错。而孩子们则认为，他们应该有更多的自由来支配他们的闲暇时间，来规划自己的未来。

六、表示措施、办法、怎样做打算：

① We should take effective/ drastic measures to stop/ prevent / protect…

   我们要采取有效/显著措施，停止/防止/保护……

例：We should take effective measures to prevent this from happening.

    我们应该采取有效措施防止这种现象发生。

② Faced with such a situation, what shall we do? 面对这种情况，我们该怎么办？

③ What should we do to solve the problem? 我们应该怎样解决这个问题呢？

④ Perhaps the best choice is the combination of the two…

   也许最好的选择是两者的结合……

例：Perhaps the best choice is the combination of the two ideas.

    也许最好的选择是这两个创意的结合。

⑤ There are several ways to cope with the problem.有几种方法来应付这个问题。

⑥ the government should make strict regulations/ laws to ban such practice/ to stop this phenomenon from spreading.

   政府应制定严格的法规/法律禁止这种做法/制止这种现象蔓延。

⑦ It’s urgent for us to do something about this.这迫切需要我们去做这个事情。

⑧ We should spare no effort / try every means to…我们应该不遗余力/千方百计地……

例：We should try every means to achieve this goal.

    我们应该千方百计地去完成这个目标。
