在大学英语四、六级考试中，写作所占比重不小，是得分难点。写英语作文，就像建造一座摩天大楼，方法很多，它可以一砖一瓦地堆砌，也可以模块化地快速构建。在时间紧迫、学习任务繁重的情况下，后者无疑是我们的最佳选择。较好地掌握四、六级英语写作的规律，就可以在考试中胸有成竹、游刃有余。这里我总结了四六级作文中常用到的优秀句型，希望能够给考生一些帮助和启示。

一、过渡句

    过渡句在文章中发挥着连接上下文的作用，恰当的运用过渡句会使文章连贯、流畅。常用的过渡句有：

①It is (high) time that … 到…时候了

  例：It is high time that the issue were to be solved so as to promote the economic development.

      为了促进经济发展到该解决问题的时候了。

②It is only when… that… 只有当…才…

  例：It is only when people become the masters of the country that science can serve the people.

      只有当人民成为国家的主人，科学才能为人民服务。

③To begin with...， moreover…， finally…， 首先…，此外…，最后…，

  例：To begin with, he is very interested in social affairs and it seems the best way to enable him to engage in these activities. Moreover, his father is a lawyer. He has always encouraged him to do something similar. Finally, he is sure he can get a job after graduation.

      首先，他对社会事物感兴趣，学习法律有助于他参加这项活动。此外，他父亲是个律师，一直鼓励他从事同样的职业。最后，他确信毕业后能找到工作。

④Among…reasons, one should be emphasized that… 在众多的原因中，其中一点给于强调…

  例：Among the most important reasons, one reason should be emphasized that large pieces of cultivated land have been occupied, which results in the grain shortage.

      在许多重要的原因中，其中一点应强调的是造成粮食减产是因为大量的可耕地被占用。

二、状语从句

写作中能合理、正确地使用状语从句，不但能地道的表达英文习惯，而且还能使文体结构更加严谨、美观。

①由while 引导的状语从句

  例：When it comes to traveling, some of the people will choose to go on a selftour while others want to go on a package tour.

      当然这里叙述的是两类人不同的做法，与上述观点的对立有所不同。

②条件状语从句

    if和so long as引导的条件状语从句，其中so long as 比if的语气强烈。

  例：So long as you study hard，you’ll make progress.

      只要你努力，你就会取得进步。

 ③结果状语从句

  由so…that…，so that或such…that…引导的，可以译为“如此……以至于……”

  例：This is such an interesting book that we all enjoy reading it.

      这本书非常有趣，我们都喜欢看。

 ④让步状语从句

  由though, although引起的，意为：“虽然”。由even if, even though引起的，意为：“即使”。由no matter how, however, whatever引起的，意为：“不管……“。

  例：We’ll make a trip even if the weather is bad.

      即使天气不好，我们也要作一次旅行。
