糾糾葛屨，

可以履霜。

摻摻女手，

可以縫裳。

要之襋之，

好人服之。

Kudzu Vine Shoes

Her worn and torn shoes made of vines,

Which on frosty day she’ll still don. 

Her slender hands with cracked lines,

For nice clothes she sews on and on.

Collar in left hand, waist right hand,

She helps dress up the lady grand. 

The lady smiles from ear to ear,

While twisting her waist left and right,

Her glittering headdress priced dear.

Staring at this mean-minded wight,

A parody the maid doth write.
