风雨凄凄，鸡鸣喈喈。

既见君子，云胡不夷。

The tempest freezing cold,

The hen clucks fast with zeal.

When my groom I behold,

O, how relaxed I feel.

风雨潇潇，鸡鸣胶胶。

既见君子，云胡不瘳。

The tempest wild and blear,

The hen clucks loud with zeal.

When with my groom my dear,

O, no more spurned I feel.

风雨如晦，鸡鸣不已。

既见君子，云胡不喜。

The tempest casts a gloom,

The hen clucks on and on.

When I gaze at my groom,

O, all my grief, all gone.
