http://s11/bmiddle/64a24467g7eac52e2144a&690From the Principals" TITLE="校长致词 From the Principals" />The second year of YK PaoSchool is rapidly drawing to a close, having　brought with it more exciting new　developments in the life of the school among them Arts Week and the P3 andP4 camps. Arts Week provided an excellent
vehicle for children, parents and　teachers alike to display their artistic　talents while the camps at Oriental Land　and Mogan Shan provided important　milestones in the development of our　outdoor education program.
    Since the last edition of the PaoPress we have had many important visitorsboth from China and overseas. Ofparticular note were the visits of Yan Jun　Qi, Deputy Chairman of the National People’s Congress from Beijing, and　those of educators from New Zealandand England. Mrs Diane Leggett, the　Principal of Karori Normal School in　Wellington, New Zealand, and two of her　teachers spent a week at our school working with our teachers and pupils.They were followed by Ms Wynell-Mayow from Lynams School (JuniorSchool of the Dragon) in Oxford. YKPao School teachers had visited these schools previously so on both occasionsit was a return visit.

    Professional exchanges between teachers are very important in the development of a school and having access to the best teaching practice in New Zealand and England helps to inform our curriculum model. These exchanges also help towards our goal of producing global citizens; being exposed to teachers from different countries and schools widens our children’s experiences. Further exchanges with overseas teachers are planned  for the future.

    Plans for the development of our new Primary School campus on Wuding Xi Lu are well advanced and we plan to move in the 2010/2011 school year.
    After a busy and successful second year at YK Pao School we are all looking forward with great anticipation to the third year in the life of our school.
