The Answer to Summary writing of NEC Book Three Lesson 4 Written by Kins April 26,2007

 

Summary Writing   

Alfred Bloggs told his wife only the corporation he worked for when they got married. Each morning, he dressed a small black suit before he left home and then changed into overalls and spent the day as a dustman. He took a shower and changed back into his suit before going home at night. This lasted over two years and his fellow dustmen kept his secret. His wife will never learn the truth because her husband will be an office worker in future.（86 words ） 

Composition

Alf and three other dustmen were collecting rubbish. They soon arrived at Mrs. Frost's house.

Alf's wife was visiting Mrs. Frost at the time. When Alf was just getting out of the dustcart, He saw his wife leaving Mrs. Frost's house. He immediately hid in dustcart in order not to be found by his wife. But the dustcart was very small and short. If his wife went by it, she was able to find him easily. When he was very worried about this, dustmen also found his wife and stopped their work to help him. They came before him. They stood in a line in order to help him take off his overalls and change a white-collar coat. Then Alf rested his hands on his hips and stood on the road and saw dustmen collecting rubbish with his back to his wife's direction so that she couldn't directly find him. When his wife talked to Mrs. Frost on the doorstep, a taxi came. Soon his wife waved to Mrs. Frost and went to the taxi. She passed by his back but didn't recognize him. After his wife got on the taxi and left, he turned back and took a deep breath. He was nearly caught by his wife. He was very appreciated for his fellow dustmen and began to find them.

As a result, the dustcart drove away just as Mrs. Bloggs came towards it. 

 

Letter Writing 

Dear Tom，

   We have not seen each other for three months, how are you recently?

   This time I ask for loan of a book, its title "how to learn well English", Because now I just start to learn English, I think that I can get some good advice about learning well English from it. I will keep it two months. Then I will return it to you. Of course, I will take good care of it.

   Give my regards to your parents!
