    世界超级模特大赛是由世界超级模特组织联合世界顶级模特经纪机构，精心打造的一项在全球范围内选拔、推出优秀职业模特的高水平国际模特赛事，旨在打造世界最大、最具影响力的职业模特盛会。作为国际性职业模特顶级赛事，以极高的知名度与美誉度排列首位。

    经世界超级模特组织批准中国成功取得了2011年度世界超级模特大赛全球总决赛的举办权。2011年4月将有50位来自美国、英国、法国、俄罗斯、澳大利亚、意大利、韩国等国家和地区的职业模特来到中国参加全球总决赛，向全世界展现自己的魅力并实现自己的辉煌梦想。

    本届大赛将在世界文化遗产都江堰开幕，期间选手们观摩都江堰一年一度的都江堰清明放水仪式，并在4月5日晚举行2011年世界超模大赛开幕式文艺晚会，4月6日进行世界超模盛装花车巡游表演和青城山清明祈福大会等主题活动。除此之外，参加本届大赛的超模佳丽们还将用自己的爱心在“5.12”地震灾区完成一次美丽公益行活动，亲身感受都江堰市三年重建的巨大变化，最后于4月24日在北京举行全球总决赛颁奖盛典。本届大赛是2011年度最值得关注的，落地在中国的世界顶级专业模特文化盛典。

    2011世界超模全球总决赛的开幕恰逢都江堰一年一度的放水节，世界超级模特佳丽们将零距离感受这一古老的文化盛典，她们还将通过一系列主题活动探寻都江堰美丽的自然风光，聚焦全球目光见证三年重建后崭新的的城市风貌。世界超模拜水都江堰、问道青城山必将成为本届放水节一道靓丽的风景。
