Eishin Flash winner of the Japanese Derby in 2010, is to join the Japanese team for the Dubai World Cup at Meydan on March 31, when he will be ridden by Christophe Lemaire.
The five-year-old joins Japan's top dirt performer Smart Falcon and last year's Dubai runner-up Transcend in a powerful three-pronged bid to follow up Victoire Pisa's memorable win in the world's richest race.
Eishin Flash had subsequent Japan Cup winner Rose Kingdom and Victoire Pisa behind him when winning the Tokyo Yushun (Derby) as a three-year-old.
Kept in the best company ever since, he gave an indication that he may be back to his best in December when second to Triple Crown winner Orfevre in the Arima Kinen, Japan's season-ending grand prix.
Trainer Hideaki Fujiwara said: "I have received the invitation and will accept soon - I always thought he would be selected to run in the Dubai World Cup and have trained him accordingly so hiscondition is very good."
A strong World Cup night contingent from Japan will also include Dark Shadow and Eishin Apollon (Dubai Duty Free), A Shin Virgo (Golden Shaheen) and Genten (UAE Derby).
