下面的内容供国际学生参考,我找出了这6所学校对国际学生财务资助的表述,同时附上链接.

1。U.S. institutions that are need-blind and full-need for all applicants
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Need-blind_admission

There are currently only six U.S. higher learning institutions—four universities and two colleges—which are both need-blind and full-need for all applicants, including international students. These are:

Amherst College

Dartmouth College

Harvard University

MIT

Princeton University

Yale University

2。need- blind admission 定义:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Need-blind_admission

Need-blind admission is a term in the United States (and increasingly in the rest of the world) denoting a college admission policy in which the admitting institution does not consider an applicant’s financial situation when deciding admission.

3。各所学校对国际学生财务资助的具体表述:

1)Amherst College
FINANCIAL AID GUIDELINES
As of the 2008-2009 admission cycle, Amherst College extended its need-blind admission policy to international students. This means Amherst will admit international students without regard to their level of financial need or request for financial aid. In addition, Amherst meets 100% of demonstrated financial need for all international students who are admitted to the college and apply for need-based financial aid. To review the requirements necessary for international students to apply for financial aid, visit the Office of Financial Aid’s web pages for international applicants.

2)Dartmouth College
Is Dartmouth need-blind in its admissions decisions for foreign nationals, or is financial need one of the factors that must be considered in the admissions review?

Dartmouth College is need-blind for all applicants. Financial need is not considered as part of the admissions review for any applicant.
http://www.dartmouth.edu/admissions/answers/apply/international.html

Dartmouth admits all students, including international and transfer applicants, through a need-blind selection process and meets enrolling students’ full demonstrated financial need.

3) Harvard University
The financial aid policies for foreign citizens are exactly the same as those for U.S. citizens. All aid is need-based, and admissions decisions are made without regard to whether an applicant has applied for financial assistance.

4) MIT
How MIT Considers International Applicants
We limit the number of international students we can accept because of our generous financial aid. MIT is one of the few schools in the world that offers need-blind admissions and meets their full financial need. “Need-blind” means we will consider your application equally, no matter how rich or poor you are or how much you could pay to attend. “Meeting your full financial need” means MIT will give you enough financial aid so that you can afford to attend, no matter how much or how little your family can pay.

Need-based Aid
MIT only confers financial aid on the basis of financial need. We do not award money based on any measure of merit – academic, athletic, artistic, or anything else.

Meet Full Need
MIT will meet every single cent of your family’s demonstrated financial need.

5) Princeton University
Are international students eligible for financial aid?
Yes. Princeton is one of only six schools nationwide that doesn’t limit the financial aid available to international students. Admission is offered to students regardless of their ability to pay, and the full need of every admitted international student is met just as it is for U.S. students
http://www.princeton.edu/admission/financialaid/financial_aid_faqs/

Princeton is need-blind for all applicants, U.S. citizens and non-citizens alike. Your family’s ability to pay for your university education is not a factor in our admission decision. Students who qualify for financial aid will receive a grant and a term-time job (7-8 hours per week) to meet their need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Loans are not required in Princeton’s aid package.

Our financial aid program is entirely need-based. Princeton does not offer academic or athletic merit scholarships. Financial aid awards cover the difference between Princeton’s costs and the amount your parents are expected to contribute to your education. The parental contribution is based on our evaluation of your financial aid application.

6) Yale University

Are international students eligible for financial aid? If so, how do I apply?

Yes, international students are eligible. Yale’s financial aid policies for foreign citizens are similar to those for U.S. citizens: need-blind admissions and need-based aid. “Need-blind” means that Yale College admits students on the basis of academic and personal promise, without regard to their ability to pay. “Need-based” means that financial aid packages are based on individual needs assessments, not based on merit awards. International students are evaluated using a needs analysis that takes into account the relative differences between the US economy and the economy of students’ home countries.
