在我生日这天，儿子收到帝国理工的面试通知，真是给我了一份最好的生日礼物。儿子很淡定，是他预料之中的，我却盼望很久，做母亲的总比儿子着急，五所大学申请提交后，前4所都来了录取通知，只等这最后的一份消息，心里真是很高兴。全文如下：

I have read your UCAS form and now invite you to attend an Admissions Day at Imperial College, Exhibition Road, South Kensington SW7 2AZ, to discuss your application. 

I would like you to attend the Mechanical Engineering Department, room XXX  on XXXX XX, XXXXX 2011 at XX.XXam.

In the morning we will tell you something about the College and the Courses; then a buffet lunch with current students who will then show you round the Department and the College. The final event is a XX minute interview with a member of academic staff.  You should be free to leave by about XXXX to XXXX pm, depending on your interview time.

A formal invitation letter is in the post to you but we are e-mailing you as well to give you the maximum notice.

Please reply by e-mail to XXXXXXX to say whether you are able to attend this Admissions Day.
