今天偶被朋友问起这是什么植物（图4）？略看应该是葱属植物，于是在google中以“Allium cone”为关键词搜索，得此结果。

葱属植物的头状花序通常都是很正圆球状，但这货却打破陈规，以一个独特的圆锥状头状花序特立独行，真叫人眼前一亮啊！！

原产地：A. sphaerocephalon grows wild in Europe (in Great Britain only in the Avon Gorge, Bristol), north Africa and west Asia.

生长习性： It is a hardy perennial plant. It is grown by gardeners for its striking appearance when in flower. The purple spherical flower head is borne on a long spike, up to 50 cm in height, usually in the month of July.

The plant grows from bulbs which are oval in shape. Small bulblets are present under the outer layer of the stem (making the plant potentially invasive when grown in gardens). Flowers are borne on a stem up to 50 cm in height, in a spherical to egg-shaped umbel, 1 to 6 cm in diameter. The relatively small size of the umbel relative to the height of the stem makes this one of those described as 'drumstick alliums'. Individual flowers are reddish-purple and are occasionally replaced by bulbils (again making this a potentially invasive species).
