On the long list of Italian World Culture Heritage,Cinque Terre is common but unique.Cique Terre was ranked as World Culture Heritage in 1991.In Italian,Cinque Terre means “Five pieces of land”,the five small fishing villages are 

   Riomaggiore,Manarola,Corniglia,Vernazza and Monterosso separately,e call the place”wu yu cun” in Chinese.

It’s such a famous scenic spot that millions of visitors from all over the world go on vacation there every year.The five fishing villages have similar and distinctive features.Colourful buildings built by mountains,narrow and bent alleys,precipitous cliff and steep precipice,the boundless sky-blue sea,all of these elements make up such a beautiful scenery.

   Riomaggiore lies in the southeast,it was built by a crowd of Greeks who were seeking refuge from religious persecution at that time on A.D. 8^th century.While this is a beautiful village,most of the visitors would rather go to the next village Manarola in hurry than stay a long time here.This is not only because Manarola is the most popular one among the five fishing villages,but also due to the road Via dell’s Amore.It is a road connect Riomaggiore and Manarola,in Chinese we call it”ai zhi lu”.Everything along the road confine to the subject of love tightly.Most attractive of all,there is a wall filled with graffiti which are really interesting and fascinating.After 20 minute’s walk,you can arrive at Manarola.It has the most peculiar terrain and beautiful sceneries.

   Corniglia is the smallest but highest village among the five villages.Because of its terrain,Corniglia becomes the only one that depend on angriculture instead of fishery among the five villages.

  Flags and buildings in Vernazza stilla remains the classical style in Middle Ages.There is a beautiful gulf in this village,which becomes more attractive in the night scenery.

  Monterosso is the biggest one among the five villages,a lot of hotels and restaurants gather there.Which is more important,there is a broad beach,on which you can enjoy the sunshine and the wind blow from the Mediterranean.

  On a sunny day,we arrived at this place.When the sun shines,we sat in the sun on the beach,we enjoyed the speed and passion of driving motorboat,we walked slowly in the narrow and bent alleys,we appreciated the beautiful buildings and sceneries.At dusk,we sat by window in an elegant restaurant,tasting the famous grape wine made by local people and had a pleasant talk.At night,we sat on the coast,tasting the delicious ice cream,enjoying the cool wind blow from the sea,looking up to the sky and whispering.In dreams,we paddled a small boat out of the village and float on the broad sea.
