名词aspect和respect在词典中分别具有几个义项:aspect的主要词义包括“模样”、“方向”、“方面”、“形势”、“外貌”“样子”、“神态”、“(建筑物等的)方向，方位”、“(建筑物等)朝某方向的一面”“(语法的)体”;respect的主要词义是“尊敬”、“注意”、“方面”。在汉语中aspect和respect均可以作“方面”解,但是二者的用法是有差异的，respect比aspect更具体,在某些小方面上常用respect。
