英语的名词性短语作状语

介词短语可以作状语，为什么不能选A呢？

 答：不能选A，而应该选名词性短语D。一般说来，副词作状语，介词短语、状语从句可以作状语。但是，有一些表示时间、长度、重量等的名词性短语，能独立作状语。和这些名词性状语搭配使用的动词大致有：measure, weigh, cost, stretch, fall, lose, gain, stand, come, go, travel, stay, wait, walk, rise, drop, run, jump, increase, reduce 等。比如：

1)      This marble statue weighs 250 tons. (这个大理石雕像重250吨。)

2)      The computer costs 500 dollars. (这台计算机值500美元。)

3)      Our Great Wall stretches about 12,000 li. (我们的长城延伸大约12,000里。)

4)      Her watch loses three minutes a day. (她的表一天慢3分钟。)

5)      The player stands eight feet. (这位运动员身高8英尺。)

6)      Mr. Green traveled all over the world. (格林先生游遍了全世界。)

7)      The ceremony lasted about half an hour. (典礼持续了大约半小时。)
