剑桥7第2套题36-39题解析

Makete Integrated Rural Transport Project

这篇文章前面有Heading题，所以每一段的第一句话都应该读过了。

36-39题难在在文章里迅速搜索提示词，找到以后只要看上下一句话就很快的可以把答案找出来了。

具体步骤如下：

1.       仔细读题，明白意思

2.       选出提示词

36. footbridges, steps and handrails

37. breakdown of buses and trucks

38. secondary roads and paths

39. isolation , part of the year

3.       在文章里找到位置

这几道题里根据前面做过的题的印象，做好找的是第39题== B段的第一部分的第一句： When the project began, Makete District was virtually totally isolated during the rainy season.

Isolation = isolated

Part of the year = rainy season

剩下的按照在文章里出现的顺序依次为

36题的提示词在Section C 里面的第三段的最后一行。

38 题出现在 Section D 第三段的第一行

37题出现在Section D 第四段的第一句话（第二行）值得注意的是这道题的提示词主要是看到了breakdown= broke down, 然后需要仔细看文章才能得出buses and trucks = motorised vehicles 这两组词的同义词互换。

4.       选项A-J 通读明白意思，和原文做对比，选出答案。

36. Most goods were transported along the paths that provide short-cuts up and down the hillsides, but the paths were a real safety risk and made the journey on foot even more arduous. It made sense to improve the paths by building steps, handrails and footbridges.

根据这句话可以看出建造steps, handrails and footbridges的目的是因为上下山运送货物有危险，尤其是徒步上山的人。 所以选择答案D

37. The efforts to improve the efficiency of the existing transport services were not very successful because most of the motorised vehicles in the district broke down and there were no resources to repair them.

因为区域内的大部分的电动车辆都坏了，而且没有修理它们的资源，所以提高现有运输服务的努力并不是很成功。

选项I里面提及了运输服务existing transport services和有效性efficient 这些都能和文章对上，而文章里面提及的否定含义not very successful则由选项里的一个词替代，hindered。 在考试中这个词就算不认识，也是可以能够选出答案的。

38. Paths and secondary roads were improved only at the request of communities who were willing to participate in construction and maintenance. However, the improved paths impressed the inhabitants, and requests for assistance greatly increased soon after only a few improvements had been completed.

答案在第一句里就已经很明显的表示出来了- 道路改造是在愿意参加建造和维护的社区居民的要求下进行的。 之所以会加上后面的however那句话，是因为在阅读的时候如果看到后面有转折词，后面的句子也是要读的。 但是这两句话在内容上实质是一样的。

所以答案自然就是G

这道题的答案没有在文章里面很明显的表现出来，文章里只说了，项目开始的时候，当地的情况是这样的，也就是在隐含的说，结束之后这个情况就不再存在了。 而且这道题也可以使用排除法， 得出答案为E
