《The Cabin In The Woods》是一部小成本电影，早在2009年拍竣，但因为电影公司陷入财政危机被逼当了“仓底货”，直到今年终于获得“解禁”重见天日。这部电影，参演的明星有凭《Thor》声名大噪的Chris Hemsworth!演出此片时，他还是个名不经传的小人物,不过到今日这可是好事，它不仅使这部小成本电影的票房潜力倍增，观众也将有幸见识到Chris成为“雷神”之前的青涩模样。
这部电影单凭剧情简介给人的感觉是它的剧情老套：又是一群年轻人出行，住在了荒郊的某个小屋中度假，起初气氛欢乐，最后大家就将遭到变态狂的各种蹂躏。不过从预告片中可看到，影片中没有出现意料中的变态杀手，而是小屋中有着一种诡异机关，操控着主角们的生死！
