·    Good morning. Welcome to the 2nd Siemens Leadership Forum. My name is Gloria Ai. It is my great honor to host such a prestigious event on behalf of Siemens.

·    As we know, the 2nd Siemens Leadership Forum is hosted by Siemens and co-hosted by Rutger Business School and the European School of Management and Technology (ESMT).

·    Today, we are honored to have 2 keynote speakers. The first speaker is Dr. Roland Busch, who is a Member of the Siemens Managing Board and is the Global CEO of Infrastructure and City Sector, and our second keynote speaker is Dr Rebecca Ray, who is a Senior VP and the conference Board;  They will be joined later by 10 panelists from the government, state-owned enterprises, Multinational Corporations as well as Siemens key customers, Siemens senior managers, and members of the Media. I believe it will be an exciting and inspiring day for all of us.

Our topic today is related to leadership. As I remembered, the founder of Siemens Mr. Werner Von Siemens once said, I won’t sell the future of my company for a short-term profit. Although it’s around a century ago, this particular sentence represents the core value of what Siemens stands for nowadays. As a leader, decisions are based on on long-term value creation.   

·    In order to better present the topic of  leadership and maximize our learning opportunities, we have organized our agenda from 9:00 am to 4 pm with speeches, panels and networking opportunities.

  Now I’d like to give the floor to the CEO of the Siemens North East Asia, President and CEO Siemens China . Let’s give a warm applause for Mr. Cheng Mei Wei as he delivers his opening remarks.
