Ling-bai route, connecting Lingyan Mountain and Baimajian
scenic spot, is one of the most popular hiking routes in Suzhou,
even more and more people choose to go hiking at night.
It is very close to the downtown of ancient Suzhou, just about
15 kilometers away, and people can get off the metro line 5 at the
Lingyanshan station, take a walk across the street from exit 1, and
then reach the Lingyan Mountain entrance, which is also the
starting point of the Ling-bai hiking route.
I think there are three main reasons people like. For
starters, it is embraced by emerald hills covered with lush forest
and grotesque rocks. Some paths are steep with a little
adventure.

Secondly, it has gorgeous views combining village and metropolitan, nature and human.
Some typical villages are scattered among mountains.

However, the metropolitan is also not far away.

Thirdly, it also has long history and rich culture full of legendary stories.

Lingyanshan Temple was build over 1500 years ago, what's more, the oldest classical garden of Suzhou was constructed during the Spring and Autumn Period, which was made according to the command by the king of Wu State for one of his concubines named Xi Shi.

We met at the eastern entrance of the Lingyan Mountain in the morning. We brought water, fruits and snacks for our lunch.

About 4 hours later, we reached the ending point, where it is near the enterance of the Tianping Mountain.

We walked for another 30 minutes to the starting point and took metro ago back home.
