Dear my friends, happy April Fool's Day!

The festival of April Fool's Day is one of the most popular ones in western countries since it was reported that it originated in France almost 500 years ago.

There are so many festivals in both China and western countries like Spring Festival, Tomb Sweeping Festival and Mid-autumn Festival in China, and Christmas, All Saints' Day in the West. What are big differences between them?

First of all, all festivals are encouraging massive people to immerse in one themed atmosphere, but initial purpose to create them was different in China and in the West.

In China, almost all festivals were formed to memorize people on matter who are alive or dead, which inspire people to show caring to their family or friends. For instance, Spring Festival and Mid-autumn Festival in China always remind us to go back home to reunite with our family. On the other hand, most of western festivals were designed for people to pursue the spirit of entertainment like April Fool's Day and All Saints' Day.

As the proverb says, 'When in Rome, do as the Romans do!' 

We should respect each of festivals in the world no matter where we are, and understand essence of them and then enjoy them with local people together.
