People always crave to enjoy the best red maple leaves on the
Mt. Tianping in late autumn every year.
It's just the best time to go to Mt. Tianping
now. I happened to take some photos last Saturday
and found some maple trees were turning red, so it must get better
in the following two weeks.

Mt. Tianping has been well-known for its red maple leaves, grotesque stones and clear spring for centuries.

Simultaneously, Mt. Tianping has a long history and rich culture with massive relics.

As we know, Sir. Fan Zhongyan was an outstanding politician, litterateur and ideologist in the Northern Song Dynasty, and each Chinese must know one of his most famous rhesis, which goes 'Be the first to bear hardships before everybody else and the last to enjoy comforts'. In the end, he was buried at the bottom of the mountain.

Ancient temples always look holy with the yellow walls under the lush trees and blue sky.

It was believed that the emperors of Kangxi and Qianlong had been to the mountain for many times in the Qing Dynasty, which can be proved by many relics.

Mr. Bai Juyi also contributed a lot to the protection of Suzhou relics when he was the mayor of Suzhou, who had written one poem, 'White Cloud Temple', for the Tianping Temple in the half-way of the mountain.

Mt. Tianping is also a good place for hiking with lucid waters and lush mountains.

Splendid landscape from the air

Bai Majian scenic spot is just next to Mt. Tianping, but, unfortnately, it was separated by the barrels because of the COVID 19.

The summit has a piece of flat land, which can hold hundreds of people, so Mt. Tianping. was named after it.

Travel Tips
1. About 8.5 kilometers away from the ancient Suzhou, so
highly recommend to take public buses or get off at the station of
Fuhu Road, metro line 1, and transfer to
buses.
2. Enjoy the red maple leaves at the bottom and then go
hiking.
3. No any restaurants inside, only some local small ones
outside the entrance, so take some snacks and water for your
stomach.
4. Dress well for beautiful photos.
