Xiangshan is one small hill with the height of 136 meters in
Zhang Jiagang, one county-level city of Suzhou, which is situated
at the shore of the Yangze River.

It was said that the emperor Fuchai of the Wu State ordered beauties to pick up flowers during the Spring and Autumn period of Wartime in Chinese history, so Xiangshan became well-known after the issue, which meant it was full of the fragrance of flowers.
Many renowned poets including Mr. Su Dongpo came here in old
times. What's more, Mr. Xu Xiake as the most famous traveler of
China also visited the hill.

There is one site called the Hidden-military Cave on the summit. I guess it must hide some weapons or soldiers in case of the war.

One Chinese traditional saying goes 'The boundless scenery is always at the perilous peak'.

The Xianshan Temple was originally built in Jin Dynasty, over 1700 years ago, which deserves to be visited if you are interested in the knowledge of Buddhism.

Travel Tips
1. The spot is about one hour driving from the downtown of
ancient Suzhou.
2. Two days and one night is highly recommended in Zhang
Jiagang including half a day in Xiangshan.
3. The hiking level of the hill is easy, but had better take
one bottle of water and some snacks for an enjoyable short rest
during the journey.
