The Pavilion of Surging Waves was built in North Song Dynasty,
and it is said to be one of the oldest classical gardens of Suzhou.
What's more, it is the world cultural heritage site and one of the
4 most famous classical gardens of Suzhou as well.

In the past around 1000 years, many stories happened in the garden, but one lovely story has been spread for hundreds years, which was written in a novel called 'Six Chapters of a Floating Life' by Shenfu in Qing Dynasty.

If you are interested in lovely stories, you are strongly recommended to experience such this poetic life in the Pavilion of Surging Waves on each Saturday evening.

After a short, simple and warm introduction of the project, tourists will be guided by these two maids dressing in Chinese traditional costumes.

The leading actor, Shen Fu, happened to arrive at his home by a small boat when tourists got at the entrance of the garden.

It was reported that Shen Fu and Yun Niang were an enviable couple. They fell in deep love very much, living a happy life in Suzhou.

In the garden, tourists will fully enjoy elegant Kun Opera to immerse themselves into such romantic, lovely, and happy life in 5-6 scenarios.

Even though the show is over, tourists would rather not leave. Most of them prefer to sit for a while on the zigzag bridge to listen to moving live music at the exit of the garden.

Before the show, tourists are encouraged to write Chinese
traditional carlligraphy with a brush, which could exchange a bowl
of traditional cool soup of Suzhou.
