The Gusu Yard is a new complex brand of Su-style hotels. A state-owned company is transforming some old houses scattering around the ancient Suzhou into boutique hotels.

The houses are refurished into local Suzhou people's living scenes, aiming to give tourists a true experience of Su lifestyle.

Tourists can enjoy social activities, which are hold by hotels, in the public space including reading books, writing Chinese traditional calligraphy, playing chess, etc.

Of course, guests can do meditationt or sit staring blankly in the private yards, which totally separete them from the outside noisy world.
