One month ago, I joined a special tour with expats to the West
Hill of Suzhou. We all had a wonderful time, so I would like to
share the typical experience with you. The bus came to take us at
9:00 am in the morning at the appointed point.
We stopped at a big ruined stone pit after one and a half
hours' driving. In the past, Taihu limestone was well-welcomed by
the owners of Suzhou classical gardens to represent the mountain in
the nature.
We went through the jungle in order to walk close to the
lake.

We were thrilled at the clean water even though it was a little dangerous when we walked along the brink.

The lake looked a little deep blue because of some heavy metals in the water.

One couple discovered a new path on the other way heading for
the summit when we were back.
We all followed them excitedly and climbed to the hill top to
discover the stunning beauties from a new
perspective.
The beautiful views spread
out before us. One side was the blue lake and the other side was a
small village.

We started to understand each other little by little and tried to know others' life stories during the journey.

We enjoyed the local food for our lunch in a family restaurant and explored the real local lifestyle.

What's more, we seemed to know the real meaning why Suzhou has been called the land of fish and rice for centuries.
We drove to Yinshan ancient village after the lunch, which was
totally embraced by the Tai Lake.
One ancient camphor tree
in the front of the village was so big that at least 5
people could hold it hand in hand.

Local people were busy picking up the Binluochun tea leaves, which is one of high-quality green tea brands in China.

Dayu was a national famous hero, who was talented at water
control, so local people built the temple to commemorate him.
Every one was so pleased to have the afternoon tea in the
temple with the beautiful lake views.

We were back home at 4:00 pm on Schedule and happened to witness the brilliant sunset.

The Taihu Bridge looks like a dragon lying on the Tai lake, which connects the islands.

The itinerary above perfectly fits the tourists, who love
outdoor activities in landscapes.
