I spent two hours finding my home stay because of the wrong
address. However, it was funny to walk through the up-and-down
streets
The home stay is hidden in a quiet area, but it is very close
to the prosperous street called Rainbow.
I didn't hesitate to buy some of the local snack even though I
had no idea of it when I saw many queuing people.
Jordan Museum was smaller than I
expected.
1001 Inventions Exhibition in the museum impressed me a lot,
which demostrated many creative & interesting scientific things
since thousands of years ago.
The Amman Citadel is a historical site at the center of
downtown Amman. Known in Arabic as Jabal al-Qal'a, the L-shaped
hill is one of the seven jabals (mountains) that originally made up
Amman.
Evidence of occupation since the pottery Neolithic period has
been found. It was inhabited by different peoples and cultures
until the time of Umayyads, after which pile of ruins only
sporadically used by Bedouin and seasonal farmers. Despite this
gap, the Citadel of Amman is considered to be among the world's
oldest continuously inhabited places.
The staff recommended me to have a taste of local food on
Rainbow street at night.
The worst experience in Amman was that Mr. Alan from Hong Kong
and I were deceived by two local taxi drivers in the following
moring when we planned to take the bus for the ancient city -
Jerash at the north bus station. With the help of local
policeman, we got off to take the sharing taxi to the north bus
station. Each passenger only paid half of one Jordanian
money.
In fact, it is very convenient for tourists to visit the
ancient city - Jerash
and Ajloun
Castle by bus in one day.

Ajloun Castle is a 12-century Muslim castle situated in
northwestern Jordan.
It is placed on a hilltop belonging to the Jabal Ajlun ('Mount
Ajlun') district, also known as Jabal 'Auf after a Bedouin tribe
which had captured the area in the 12th century.
The name 'Ajlun goes back to a Christian monk who lived on
this mountain in the Byzantine Period. The castle stands on the
ruins of a monastery, traces of which were discovered during
archaeological excavations.

Ancient city - Jerash is the captial and the largest city of
Jerash Governorate with a population of 50 thousands. It is located
48 kilometres north of the capital of Jordan, Amman.
The city flourished until the mid-eighth century CE, when the 749
Galilee earthquake destroyed large parts of it, while subsequent
earthquakes contributed to additional destruction. However, in the
early 12th century, by the year 1120, Zahir ad-Din Toghtekin,
atabeg of Damascus ordered a garrison of forty men stationed in
Jerash to convert the Tample of Artemis into a fortress.
Jarash was then deserted until it reappeared by the beginning of
the Ottoman rule in the early 16th century. In the census of 1596,
it had a population of 12 Muslim households.
In 1806, the German traveler, Ulrich Jasper Seetzen, came across
and wrote about the ruins he recognized. The ancient city has been
gradually revealed through a series of excavations which commenced
in 1925, and continue to this day.
I felt uncomfortable in my nose suddenly and walked to a
barbership randomly. Unbelievablely, the staff helped me cut short
my nasal hair, what's more, it was free.
The Roman Theatre was built
around 100 AD, which still stands in the center of the
downtown.
The Folk Museum situates at the entrance of the
theatre.

I searched a 3-hour tour of the city walk, so I decided to
participate and arrived at the appointed place before 9:00 am. One
old man told me he would cancel the city walk because of no any
tourist but me. Fortunately, two couple, one from France and the
other from Canada, came to join the city walk.

The guide was born in this area over 50 years ago, so he knew
everything of history and lifestyle.

He led us to look around the fresh food market, old buildings,
historical sites and talk to local people. Finally, we went to
visit one 100-year-old postal house.
According to the owner's guidance, I took the taxi at first
and transferred to airport by the shuttle bus. I visited a
bookstore as usual in the airport and bought two books before I
boarded the airplane for Egypt.
