For people, Palestine means inexplicably dangerous, which, by
contrast, intrigues many tourists to take a look around it. I
happened to have free half a day, so I decided to go to Ramallah by
bus. It was not far away from Jerusalem, but it took almost one
hour to get there because of the heavy traffic. 'Ramallah' is
composed of 'Ram', meaning height and 'Allah', the Arabic word for
God.
Ramallah is a Palestinian city in the central West Bank
located 10 km north of Jerusalem at an average elevation of 880
meters above sea level, adjacent to al-Bireh. It currently serves
as the de factc administrative capital of the Palestinian National
Authority (PNA).
Ramallah was historically an Arab Christian town. Muslims form
the majority of the population of nearly 27 thousands in 2017, with
Christians making up a significant minority. Arafat's Tomb is just
five minutes walking away from the bus station. All tourists had to
store bags before we entered into the tomb, I saw noting but two
policemen standing in the front of tomb.
Yasser Arafat Museum is adjacent to the tomb, which exhibits
many Arafat's articles and photos to manifest his whole life.
The guide friendly introduced the museum function as soon as I
paid the ticket fee. She was so excited that she talked a lot about
her country's glorous history.

The museum used to be Arafat's office during the urgent
wartime, so some rooms still keep them as original.
Even though it was quiet short in Ramallah, I was impressed by
its peaceful & friendly lifestyle. The most interesting was
that we had to transfer another bus when we reached the border
between Palestine and Israel.
