Asliah is a fortified town on the northwest tip of the
Atlantic coast of Morocco, about 30 minutes' driving from
Tangier.
The blue sky and clear water allured me to swim for a while in the Atlantic Ocean.
Its ramparts and
Local kids were playing balls after school.
Two kids were talking with each other intimately.
A major plan to restore the town was undertaken in 1978 by its mayor. He and other painters were instrumental in organizing an art festival, the International Cultural Moussem of Asilah. It is credited with having promoted urban renewal in Asilah and is one of the most important art festivals in the country.
Many international artists are invited to create their products on the walls every year and the paintings are kept well to attract lots of tourists.
The white walls with blue windows under blue sky look like wonderful paintings.
