Suzhou is one of the most popular tourist destinations in China, even around the world. In the meanwhile, more and more foreigners would like to travel, work and live in this beautiful city because of it's unique combination of Chinese traditional culture and the modern Western facilities.

Toastmasters is an international non-profit organization that was founded in California in 1924. The organization, where leaders are made, has more than 345,000 memberships, who improve their speaking and leadership skills by attending one of the 15,900 clubs in over 142 countries.

We set up Tourism Toastmasters Club to provide a friendly community targeting Suzhou expats, Suzhou English tour guide, English public speaking lovers and international tourists - sharing what we have in common but also the differences because we share one world.

Founder & President - Lincoln Wang

Lincoln, a Ph.D. in Management and FIT (Free Individual Travel) lover. Pursuits a perfect work/study/life balance. He knows Suzhou very well and devotes himself to promote Suzhou to the world. I always believe sharing is caring.

VPE (Vice President of Education) - Helen Wu

Helen loves to travel and has visited nearly 50 countries. She loves sports: swimming, running, hiking, diving... But most of all, she enjoys being a fun mum. In order to make an example to my elementary school daughter, Helen joined TMC. IT took her 3.5 months to complete the CC speeches. She continued on learning by sharing.

Esther is a translator and web designer who left her home country,the Netherlands, 20 years ago. Since then, she has been living in all corners of the world. During the 5 years she has lived in Suzhou, she has founded 4 interest-based communities and a popular platform for the international community in Suzhou: www.WeAreSuzhou.com.

Secretary: Amy Ji

Amy is the founder of the Suzhou Ping Long Travel Agency. She is an experienced Tourism practitioner and a FIT (Free Individual Travel ) lover.

Treasurer - Hedy Wang

Hedy prefers her Chinese name, Hanning, with similar meaning to "if winter comes, spring can't be far".

SAA (Sergeant at arms) -  Chloe Wang

Chloe is Deputy Director of Suzhou Tourist Information Center and responsible for Citywide Tourist Information System Building, WeChat and Website Management for Suzhou Tourism. She worked in Shanghai World Expo Bureau 2008 and in China National Tourism Administration 2010.

VPPR assistant - Jerry

Jerry is a marketer and tour guide who loves Suzhou very much. He is also fond of traveling, hiking and playing badminton as well culture activities. As a member of TMC, he keeps on pursuing to be an excellent speaker and always enjoys the communication in TMC.

How to be a member of the Tourism Toastmasters Club of Suzhou?

Please contact with the Vice President Membership and ask for a membership application. Fill in out and return it with your dues. All the fee will be used strictly for the development of the club. The following is the QR Code of our guests group, but it will be valid until August 15. If you are interested, please don't hesitate to join us.

Meeting time: Every Wednesday evening, 7-9 pm

Meeting location: Suzhou Tourist Information and Service Center, 2nd Floor, 276 Fenghuang Street, Gusu District. Take Metro Line 1, get off at Lindun Lu station, exit 2. At the first crossing turn right into Fenghuang Jie. The Visitor Information Center is at the left side of the street, just before the first intersection with Dinghuisi Alley. Our meeting will be at the second floor.
